Hello!
I’m Lena, a New York–based surface pattern designer. I grew up in a small town in the former Soviet Union, surrounded by flowers, gardens, and creativity. From childhood, I loved drawing, making things, and exploring different crafts.
After art college, I taught children to draw before moving to America and starting over. For several years, my focus was on building a new life, finding my place in a new country, and raising my son, but I never lost my desire to create.
While studying at FIT, I took a nature study class and fell in love with drawing flowers. Years later, when I discovered surface pattern design, I felt like I had found myself again. Today, I create hand-drawn patterns with delicate linework and joyful color, inspired by nature, everyday moments, and the simple beauty of life.
